Remix Your Notebook With NFC Technology

Near Field Communication, or NFC, is a form of technology conducted through a microchip that allows a smartphone and another object to communicate with one another. For example, when you go to a Starbucks and hold your phone over the payment area- you’re using “tap-and-go” NFC technology to process your payment at that moment.

But NFC has been around for years, why is it getting more popular now? In the past, Android users had no problem accessing their NFC capabilities – all they had to do was hold their phone near the chipped object to receive/transmit their message – but they were alone in experiencing it’s convenience. iPhone users needed to download a specific app for it to work, and we all know people value convenience in today’s fast-paced world. iPhone users never warmed to downloading a whole separate app, so the potential NFC market was essentially halved and restricted to Android phones. However, all of this has changed with the new generation of iPhones (Generation XS) – NFC is now automatically compatible with both of the cell phone giants!

So, what the heck does this all have to do with SWAG? SOBO is always looking for new ways to remix tried-and-true products, and our latest creation consists of applying this NFC technology to custom notebooks.
