Custom Sky Dancers

While there are lots of ways to get noticed, SOBO is always looking for new ways to get our clients the visibility they require. For example, let’s take a look at the custom sky dancers we developed for Jarritos.

First off, are you asking yourself “what the heck are ‘sky dancers'”? Trust us- you’ve seen them before. Sky dancers are the tall and colorful inflatables bouncing in the wind outside an event or a business enterprise. They are often associated with car dealerships, but – as the good folks at Jarritos recently learned – this great product can have an impact across a variety of environments and industries with just a little creative thinking.

Jarritos Sky Dancers for Las Vegas Lights FC

Jarritos is a sponsor for Las Vegas Lights FC, which is an American professional soccer team. Thanks to a strategic partnership between the two, the Lights’ marketing department were tasked with promoting the Jarritos brand during soccer games. The challenge? Well, anyone thats seen a soccer game knows that it’s continuous play makes advertising during the game near impossible (which is why you see ads placed on the players jerseys, on the sidelines, and even on the actual field of play). Of course, we loved the challenge!

We got the team together and decided on putting sky dancers behind the goal to wave around and garner the attention of viewers during the soccer game. What better way to get noticed than a tall, colorful, inflatable tube dancing behind the goal?!

The only thing was- standard sky dancers simply wouldn’t do. People know the Jarritos brand and what they stand for, so we needed to make sure the SWAG matched their brand identity. Due to their roots being in Mexico, they have a strong cultural association with spanish-speaking countries, and they’re generally viewed as a “fun” brand, so we wanted to balance cultural relevance with something light-hearted and fun. Enter the luchadores! We customized the dancers to look like lucha libre wrestlers to give a nod towards Jarritos’ Mexican heritage. This was the perfect balance between visibility and brand identity, and both the Lights and Jarritos teams were thrilled with the product.
